Easy Ways to Pamper Your Cat

Cats are pretty amusing little pets. Fluffy has a special way of making us smile, even when she’s sound asleep. (Actually, kitties are super cute when they are sleeping, so that really isn’t much of a surprise.) These little furballs are also quite easy keepers. Just providing your pet with food, water, a litterbox, and veterinary care will cover her most essential needs. However, if you really want to get that little motor going, read on! Beds

You’ve probably noticed that our feline friends are collectively exhausted. Make sure Fluffy has plenty of comfy napping spots to choose from. Lap space counts, too!

Treats

We all know that dogs get super excited about treats. Kitties like snacks, too. Fluffy can be finicky, so it may take you a bit of trial and error to find a store-bought treat that she enjoys. Plain, canned tuna in water is fine, though this shouldn’t be offered daily. Ask your vet for more information.

Playtime

Playing with your cat is actually one of the best things you can do for her. It’s also free! Get into the habit of playing with Fluffy every day. Even a few minutes of running and jumping will help your feline buddy stay fit … and keep her little motor going.

Boxes

It doesn’t get much easier than this! Give your furry pal empty boxes to investigate. Fluffy will also look adorably content in newspaper tunnels or paper grocery bags.

Catnip

No surprises here! Your furball can’t overdose on catnip, but she may become desensitized to it if you go overboard. Of course, some kitties don’t like catnip at all. If Fluffy doesn’t respond to it, try getting her some honeysuckle toys. Many furballs that are unaffected by catnip love honeysuckle, and vice versa. (Have we mentioned that kitties are a bit weird?)

Grooming

Fluffy is very good about keeping clean. Your kitty will diligently clean her fur every day. Help her out by brushing her. This will get that dead fur out of her coat, and make her feel loved. (Bonus: you’ll also find less fur and hairballs around the house.)
